One of the greatest dialogues in the YA genre. The way this was executed was very painful - and it goes both ways. To me, the story about Teresa's mom is just as horrible as her betrayal.

I love this scene, it's powerful and peaceful at the same time. And Newt taking control of the situation and slowly and quiet knee bending over Winston to give him the gun, and then Newts calmly voice: Good bye Winston. And then the silence when they all stop on the hill. I't a powerful scene.

I think I know why the runners have been trying to find a way out for 3 years. Cuz the key was inside a griever and the grievers are basically impossible to kill. So maybe that’s why they’ve been looking for years, if it wasn’t for Thomas they wouldn’t have gotten out at the end.
